Biography
Adena DeMonte is a professional writer and theater director based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born and raised in Old Bridge, New Jersey, Adena has lived in Chicago, Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles and Prague before settling down, tentatively, in the Bay Area.
Her passions include collaboration, story telling, performance, music, color coordination, design, travel, and laughter. It's difficult to explain Adena if you haven't met her, but perhaps this statement from her good friend sums her up best: “she's like a new pair of gorgeous, red, sparkly dress-up shoes, bound to give you blisters but so much fun to wear that you never want to take them off.”
During the day, Adena works for the awesome web startup diddit.com as a writer and community manager. At night, you can often find her in rehearsal for a production she's directing or performing in somewhere on the SF Peninsula.
Adena attended The Theatre School of DePaul University in Chicago, Ill., where she earned her BFA in theatre studies with minors in journalism and the sociology of culture. She is open to new opportunities to collaborate and to create, as well as freelance web design and marketing projects for non-profit organizations and small companies.
