Years ago, Adena's blog entries were entirely public. Since adult life requires some secrecy, unfortuantely, many entries on her LJ are "friends only."
There are still many entries available to the "public," but if you wish to read more intimate thoughts, you'll have to sign up for an LJ account and request to be added as a friend. Usually you will be added to the friends view within a week or so.
